The bar graph illustrates the proportion of British people who gave donations to charity between 1990 and 2010. The units are measured in per cent and divided into five range
age
groups
.
Overall
, it can be clearly seen that the majority of the donors come from
age
35 until more than 65 years old.
Moreover
, the percentage of both two different years in the three older
age
groups
had a small gap. In terms of the smaller
age
groups
started with 18-25, only 17% in 1990 and the figure dropped to just above 5% in 2010.
This
similar trend
also
occurred in the
age
groups
of 26 - 36, with the number in 1990 doubled compared with the 18 - 25
age
group and in 2010 just below 25% giving money to charity.
On the contrary
, the 36 - 50
age
group, in 1990 was the highest percentage in all
age
groups
, with 43% and precisely 35% in 2010. The
last
two
age
groups
show a different condition, the proportion of the year 2010 in both
age
groups
has a higher percentage compared with the year 1990. 51 - 65, in 1990 exactly 35% of people donated to charity and the figure increased in 2010 to just below 40%.
Furthermore
, a similar gap
also
happened in the 65+
age
group, at 33% in 1990 and grew by 2% in 2010.
