The charts below compare the age structure of the populations of France and India in

1984
This
chart shows the comparison between the age structure of the population of France and India
as well as
the age structure, in 1984
Overall
, there is a big difference in both population structures, the French are more separated in different ranges of age ,In opposition to Asia where the inhabitants are more concentrated in the lowest range of years.
In addition
, the percentage of the French who are older than 70 years is much higher than the percentage of Indians who are older than 70. In India, people under 20 years old comprise nearly 25% of the total population.
However
, in France,
this
percentage is only nearly 16%. That shows how the inhabitants of the Asian country are much younger than the inhabitants of the capital in Europe. In difference with India, in the European capital, the people older than 70 are more important in their year structure , being 8% of the French. In Asia, the proportion of
this
kind of people is nearly 3%. So here we can see that the proportion of habitants who are 70 or more is 3 times more important in France than in the Asian country.
