To begin
with, Malaysia was the first country with the largest proportion of people living in cities until 2020. It gradually increased from 1970, starting at around 30%.

, it is projected to continue to increase to over 80% in 2040.

there was Indonesia which started the lowest with over 10% and steadily rose even after 50 years.
