You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help. Write a letter to this friend. In your letter -give details of your study plan -explain why you want a part-time job -suggest how your friend could help you find a job

Dear Tracy , I am coming to London next month after completing the process of school admission. I have achieved my desired outcome after much dedication. I got accepted into Middlesex University for an MSc in electronic commerce. After my undergraduate degree , I had an option to choose either Business Information Systems or Electronic Commerce . Most of my other friends are pursuing E-commerce because of the digital media which is booming nowadays . So I have made up my mind to lean toward E-commerce. As you know , my parents will be sponsoring me for my school fees . They have already deposited half of my tuition fees to the university . Early payment helped me speed up my visa application process easier than others who did not. For my living costs, I will have to provide for myself. So I need to do part-time work during my stay in London. Are you still working in Marks and Spencer near your school accommodations? I would appreciate it if you could help me get a customer service assistant job in your store. Marks and Spencer is a world-renowned department store . It is mesmerizing indeed. Having an experience as a customer service assistant will enhance my career later in my life. If I am employed there , I do not need to commute a long journey from my place to work because I will be staying in the same accommodation as you. I will need to update my resume and will send it to you later. Let me know what I need to do to apply for a job. Look forward to seeing you soon. Regards , Sandi

  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)
