You have arranged a weekend holiday with a group of friends, but due to your studies you will not be unable to go with them. Write to your friends, and •Tell them why you are unable to go •Say sorry for this •Suggest an alternative activity at another time
Dear John and Sally
I hope you’re doing well. I’m just writing to let you know that I can’t come to the campsite that we reserved for the weekend. I’m really sorry that I have to cancel our trip at the
last
second.
I hadn’t checked my university schedule the day we planned the vacation, I just found out that I have a math exam coming up on April 15th, the Monday after the trip! This
means that, if I come to the forest, I might fail my exam and I have to wait six months to take another exam in the next semester. I understand that you two have to change your plan because of me and I feel terrible.
To make up for it, I came up with an idea you may like. My uncle has a big farm and we can go there for the next holiday. He can show us around with his jeep. The good point is, we can stay as long as we like a whole week maybe because we do not pay for our accommodation!
Do let me know what you think, and sorry for the trouble once again,
All the best,
