Dear Sir / Madam, I am writing
this
letter to seek your help in regard to my lost item during my recent train travel. My Name is Neha Singh, and I recently boarded the Vande Bharat train to travel from Pune to Bengaluru on 25th June 2024 at 7:00 p.m. My booking reference number is 123456. I lost my black laptop bag which has my Apple Mac Book Pro, its charger, and an air pod.
Along with
that, I have my wallet with around 5000 bucks and my CIBC credit card. I clearly remember I kept my luggage in the cabin above seat 25-D. I went to the washroom, and when I came back, I saw my bag was missing. I searched and asked everyone around, but nobody saw anyone taking it. It is my work laptop, so I immediately informed my company and filed a police complaint. I would like you to please investigate the matter and maybe search on CCTV to find out who might have taken it. Yours faithfully, Neha

The letter begins and ends appropriately with a polite salutation and closing, which is essential for formal correspondence.
task achievement
You have succinctly provided the necessary details such as the train, travel time, and booking reference number which help to achieve the task effectively.
suitable writing tone
The tone of the letter is courteous yet urgent, which is highly appropriate for this kind of request.

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.
