As we can see on the map, in 1860 a bridge was constructed on the east side, beside this
, on the right, two blocks of farmland were cleaned to give a pass for the construction of a new road from the north side of the river to the west side to the village. In addition
, they were cutting down half of the woodlands which made room for 100 new houses.
In the next century, Willington added another roadway from the houses to the south. In that place, all the trees were chopped down and a new school and sports field were constructed instead
of it. Furthermore
