It is clear that

children
and sole parents saw the highest proportion of living in
poverty
while
aged
couples
and single aged person were the lowest percentage of society who lived in
poverty
. In detail, the whole proportion of people who were poor was about 11 per cent ( 1837000 million). The figure for the single aged person who living in
poverty
stood at approximately a fifth.
However
, these figures for single without
children
and sole parents were higher at 19% and 21% respectively.
In addition

couples
with
children
accounted for the third highest proportion of living in
poverty
about more than one in ten. The figure for the aged
couples
who had poor life, stood at less than a fifth,
whereas

children
was higher at 7 per cent.
