Mrs Barrett, an english-speaking woman who lives in your town, has advertised for someone to help her in her home for a few hours a day next summer. Write a letter to Mrs Barrett. In your letter • suggest how could you help her in her room • say why you would like to do this work • explain when you will and will not be available

Dear Mrs Barrett, I hope you are in good health. I saw the advertisement that you mentioned in the community post.I am searching for the same because I need to learn and earn at the same time for my summer vacation period. Recently I enrolled myself in the Eldercare management course and my previous job was housekeeping that's why I can easily handle all household chores
such
as cleaning, cooking and laundry and
also
arrange the room even I have knowledge about gardening meanwhile arranging stuff I can do gardening before going back to my house. As I mentioned earlier I am learning about elder care management and with domestic work experience I can easily manage
this
joy because at home I am the elder one to look after my two younger brothers and grandmother whenever my parents are out of the station that why I know how to manage and I really enjoy doing all household work which is somehow beneficial for my furthers studies and job profile. One thing I needed to be guided was about time. As I earlier mention that right now I am pursuing a part-time course I am not able to stay up late at night and come early morning because I have my class from 7 am to 9 am .
Therefore
my suitable time schedule was from 10 am morning to 6 pm evening.I would be grateful If you were concerned about
this
. I would really appreciate it if you consider my request . I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you, Yours Sincerely, Sinja Tiwari

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
