On a recent holiday, you lost a valubale item. Fortunately, you have travel insurance to cover the cost of anything lost. Write a letter to the manager of your insurance company, in your letter - Describe the item you lost - Explain how you lost it -Tell the insurance company what you would like them to do

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing
this
letter to avail my travel
insurance
coverage as I lost my
laptop
during my
last
trip to Surrey, which was from the 19th to the 26th of
last
month and the trip booking, and
insurance
number was 25614P. At the onset, I would like to provide a small elucidation of my
laptop
. It was HP company's black colour, X34 model and Its current market price is $ 650. I vividly remember I submitted both my
laptop
and luggage bags at the security check counter at Terminal A of the Surrey Airport.
However
, at Ontario Airport, I just received my luggage of clothes and I found my
laptop
bag was not on the conveyor belt.
Thereafter
, when I talked to the concerned staff about it, they intimated to me in writing that my bag got lost somewhere. A facsimile of that intimation slip is attached herewith for proof.
Furthermore
, it was mentioned in your
insurance
policy that 60 per cent of the cost of the lost item will be given if it gets lost during the trip.
In addition
, since I selected the prime policy for the
insurance
, it allows me to get the amount of my lost item within six working days
therefore
kindly initiate the related process. I will be glad to provide any necessary documents if any case your concerned branch requires them. I look forward to hearing from you soon in
this
regard. Yours faithfully, Jacob Brown

coherence cohesion
To achieve higher coherence and cohesion, try to make transitions between ideas slightly smoother. For example, transitioning between describing the item and explaining how it was lost could be smoother with a linking phrase.
task response
Consider providing a bit more detail on how the insurance company should contact you or what specific documents they might need from you. This would ensure even more clarity in your task response.
suitable writing tone
Your writing tone is highly appropriate for a formal letter to an insurance company, maintaining politeness and professionalism throughout.
coherence cohesion
The logical structure of your letter is strong, with a clear progression from description to explanation to your request.

Use cohesive linking words accurately and appropriately

Linking words are very important in your essay.

To score effectively on your IELTS exam, you should make an effort to implement short concise sentences coupled with linking words.

Almost every sentence in your essay should have a linking word of some sort.

In fact, the only sentences that can omit linking words are your background sentence and thesis.

Linking word examples:

  • firstly
  • secondly
  • thirdly
  • in additional
  • moreover
  • also
  • for example
  • for instance
  • therefore
  • however
  • although
