The presented illustration depicts the production of leather items.
Overall
, the process can be separated into two main categories: washing and polishing and production itself. First of all, animal skin must be dried up and
then
transported to the factory which specializes in washing and polishing processes of the material. Afterwards, the material must be thoroughly washed in a mixture of water and lime and
then
soaked just in a lime mixture for some time.
Next,
the skin must be flattened with the help of a special pressing machine. After being flattened, it goes through another soaking process,
this
time in a mixture of water and vegetable matter. After washing and soaking, the skin is polished with rolling equipment on a flat surface.
Then
it is transported to the manufactory, where it will be used for the production of various leather items,
for example
, bags, clothes, shoes and other apparel.
