Answer both parts of the question. Explain how technology changes relationships, such as work friends, family, and new online friends. Then clearly say if this change is mostly good or bad.
Your main idea is not clear yet. You say technology has both bad and good effects, but you only give one short work example. Add more ideas and explain each one.
Use clear examples. For example, email and video calls can help work teams stay in touch, but too much time online can mean less face-to-face time with family or friends.
Write a full plan: an introduction, two main body parts, and an ending. Each body part should have one clear main idea.
Start each paragraph with a clear first sentence. Then give an example and explain why it supports your point.
Use simple link words to join ideas: 'First', 'Also', 'However', 'For example', and 'In the end'.
Make your sentences complete and easy to follow. For example: 'There is no doubt that digital technology helps people stay in touch.'
You have started to discuss both good and bad effects of technology.
You give a useful example about contact with work people by email.
Your writing has an introduction and begins a main idea about work.
Include an introduction and conclusion
A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.
The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.
The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:
- Summary
- Restatement of thesis
- Prediction or recommendation
Example:
To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.
Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:
- In conclusion
- To conclude
- To summarize
- Finally
- In a nutshell
- In general
