It is argued that the architectural style of new buildings should be the same as that of old buildings in local areas, while others believe that people should be free to design their own house the way they prefer. I personally agree with the second group.

People have different views on how new houses should be built. While some argue that new homes in a locality should be built to match the traditional building style of that area, others insist that house owners should be allowed to choose whatever design they like. In my opinion, the occupants of a house should have the freedom to decide how it should look.

Due to renovations to medical studies, the average lifespan in advanced economies has increased over the past few years. Although there will undoubtedly be some negative consequences of this trend, societies could take steps to curb these potential problems.

Due to modernization and advancement in technology, the large proportion of vehicles, cars, has come into existence. However, this human progress has become a major culprit of environmental pollution. Therefore, some people think that higher authorities should impose certain laws and restrictions on the use of cars. In my view, I completely disagree with this statement.

Nobody could deny that, in our fast-paced world, things rarely stay the same. We can choose to embrace change or try to avoid it. Whether we consider change to be positive or negative probably depends, to a large extent, in our personality type.

It is often argued that the students are the ones who should entirely be responsible for their college fees and that the government should not be involved in this matter. I strongly disagree with this statement as I believe that the government does play a role in an indivdual's path to higher education for the following reasons.

Some people are opposed to the existence of private schools, and believe that they should be prohibited. Even though they make some arguments against these schools, I think that private schools have some advantages for the public.

Modern technologies have changed the way people live over the half century. These days, a number of people purchase household appliances (like television, rice cookers etc.) In my opinion, the use of household apparatus is undoubtedly a positive development which makes people’s life easier, and entertains and educates them despite some drawbacks.

Senior citizens are the backbone of every society. Therefore, there is no doubt the elder people should get their respect in every country. But, this is not the present scenario. In contrast with the past, senior citizens are treated very rudely, almost in every country. There are many reasons why senior people are not getting their adequate respect and attention. But the most important reason is career aspirations.

Traffic congestion has become one of the most severe problems in cities around the world. Some people believe that, the only approach to minimize the traffic is to decrease the necessity for individuals travelling to work, university or shop from home. However, I will support this view with arguments in the following paragraph.

It is true that school children are at an impressionable age, and two strong influences on their intelligence and social development are teachers and parents.While I accept thatteachers may have more influence on the intelligence of their pupils, I would argue that parents probably exert a greater influence on the social development of their children.

In present era, there is a rising trend of smoking, especially among the younger generation. Smoking has evident detrimental effects on both, the smoker and the people in his surroundings. It is claimed that, smoking should be prohibited in the public areas. I strongly agree that, smoking should be banned publicly to prevent its negative aspects on people.
