Nowadays we are living in a society based on consuming. In many developed nations, shopping is not only about buying the everyday things we need to survive but is also seen as a form of amusement. Some people hold the opinion that consumerism to relax is a positive trend, whereas, others have conflicting views. I personally feel that this is a negative development as people indulge in impulsive shopping after getting swayed by commercials or window displays to impress others.

Nowadays, we live in a society based on consuming. Consumerism is not only buying everyday things that we need to survive, but is also shopping as a form of amusement. Some people hold the opinion that this is a positive trend while others have conflicting views. In my opinion, this act creates extravagant, impulsive shoppers as well as wasting our time and money without any intellectual or physical benefit.

In recent years, what to do in difficult times has become debatable. Many individuals share the view that accepting an unfavorable circumstance is better than improving it mainly because these situations happen for a reason known as fate. I am of the opinion that, every negative state should provide conditions for improvement because this improves mental health.

The entertainment industry has become a symbol of affluence. It is therefore not surprising that some individuals believe stars are outrageously paid. I completely agree with this opinion and I believe that professionals who are involved with the welfare of the people such as health personnel, farmers -to mention a few- should rather be paid more.

While it is sometimes believed that working from home affords and their families some benefits, others, however, are of the opinion that it would be stressful to the home. In my opinion, I consider that working from home presents important benefits that would impact positively on the quality of life of workers and their families.

Public transportation is a great way to travel, particularly within a metropolis. The metro is the most convenient way to get around a city. Do you agree or disagree?

Densely populated cities around the world require well developed public transportation system to move people around so according to many, the underground railway system seems the most suitable for this purpose. In my opinion, I consider that the metro can offer the convenience people need to move around in a busy city as it will provide a hitch-free journey for passengers.

In some countries an increasing number of people are suffering from health problems as a result of eating too much fast food. It is therefore necessary for governments to impose a higher tax on this kind of food. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? The jury is out on whether the federal government should impose levies on junk meals or not There are many scholars who would support this idea and a whole lot more will kick against it. I believe the government should intervene in this issue through taxation policies.

Access to technology has increased significantly over recent decades, and the children playing games on gadgets has increased too. The main problem this has caused is violence, and the most viable solution is a public awareness campaign warning parents about the danger of adolescents to spend their time on games.

While some people believe that a very high salary is a benefit for the community, others suggest a limit should be set by the government. In the following essay, I will consider both sides of this issue and finally give my opinion.

It is argued that volunteering should be made part of the school curriculum. This essay agrees with that suggestion completely because of the benefits it brings to pupils. This essay will discuss, the major pro which is, provision of job opportunities and also, the major con, which is, increase crime rates.
