More and more qualified people are moving from poor to rich countries to fill vacancies in specialist areas like engineering, computing and medicine. Some people believe that by encouraging the movement of such people, rich countries are stealing from poor countries. Others feel that this is only part of the natural movement of workers around the world. Do you agree or disagree?

Professionals moving to developed countries from developing countries has been on a rise in recent years. Some are of the belief that rich countries are being unfair by luring these qualified professionals while others believe that it is just human behaviour to look for better opportunities. I completely agree with the latter as any person who feels undervalued in any way, feels limited in resources to progress further will look elsewhere but also the same person can come back to contribute to his/her original country from what they have learned and experienced abroad.

Modern communications mean that it’s no longer necessary to write letters. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

With the advent of technology, the ways we can communicate with others has certainly become a lot faster as compared to posting handwritten letters. Some believe that with the plethora of communication services available, writing letters is becoming obsolete. I strongly disagree with this notion as many still believe that writing letters by hand gives it a personal touch and also the authenticity is maintained in case of official letters.

These days, the world’s environmental condition has become dire due to the lack of effective measures taken to diminish the problem. One major way to combat environmental hazards is to increase the price of fuel, which is one of the significant sources of catastrophes that could instigate environmental degradation. However, I do not agree that this is the finest solution for reducing environmental problems as some other ways would be much more effective for solving the problems related to the environment.

Today, there are people who believe that the most beneficial for teenagers is to listen to advices of elderly people and to learn from their rich life experiences. However, there are also those who oppose this point of view and think that the youth will benefit more for challenging these advices and making their own choices. This essay will discuss both viewpoints before reaching conclusion.

In some countries, many more people are choosing to live alone nowadays than in the past. Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

There are countries where more people are deciding to live by themselves than they did in the past. This essay would argue that this is a positive development because these people’s actions are not restricted by housemates and it helps a country’s economy. When people live alone, they don’t need to accommodate others who are living with them. This can reduce the stress of having to resolve any confusion that may occur due to people having different ideas of how a house should be maintained and it can help them to save time by not having to wait for others to finish using appliances or equipment that they need to use. For example, the Guardian reported that families of four or more take an extra 20 minutes on average to get ready in the morning than a person who lives alone. Many people believe that fixing the age limit for retirement at 65 without considering the nature of their occupation is a rude policy. They argue that exception should be given to certain occupations which involve physical and emotional stress. I agree with them.

Nowadays, most of the companies have a rule like, the workers must wear the proper dress to look like smart, but, other people say that uniform is not important in their job. From my perspective, in order to fairly judge someone, the justice system should consider several factors.
