Governments in some countries have started the moment of motivating industries and businesses to move to locations which are outside the city limits, I believe

this

is a good idea and has lot more advantages as compared to

disadvantages

In areas outside the city limits, there is a plethora of land which is available at cheaper prices,

hence

the capital cost for companies is far lesser as compared to the city.

, for industries like bottling plants, milk-based products, automotive factories, there are far more resources available for their functioning in these areas, not to mention the labour cost which would be cheaper than as compared to the urban areas. From the employment perspective, industries in the rural generate employment for the rural folks, land purchase; leading to

upliftment

of the standard of living in that particular area over time. There is another side of

coin too, rural folks will generally need training for them to fit roles required by specific industries.

may increase the lead time till the real productivity of that industry starts to show.

, essentials like electricity and connectivity to major cities by road could be a concern during rainy seasons due to the area being off the grid in nature. Cities are generally the highest consumer of resources which are manufactured outside it, so essentially the industry will be far away from its major clients.
