Some countries today have passed laws against smoking tobacco in public buildings such as offices and restaurants. Other countries have no intentions of doing this. Consider the possible arguments on both sides of this debate and reach your conclusion on which side you favour.

Laws prohibiting the deliberate inhalation of
tobacco
in public spaces have been passed by some nations, while some other nations have no plan of doing the same. In as much as, both sides have solid arguments to back their stance, I am of the opinion that there are more merits than demerits and
this
essay will explore both sides of the argument while concluding on which side I favour.
To begin

In addition

translates to a decrease in office productivity. They claim that workers may face low concentration, anxiety which are symptoms of withdrawal from smoking

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for example
  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
  • such as
  • namely
  • to illustrate
  • take, for example
