Some organisations believe that their employees should dress smartly. Others value quality of work above appearance. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Many organizations have policies on how their employees would
dress
in the office which
is called "Accept comma addition
office, which
dress
code" and the employees must obey these dressing rules while working in such
entities. In contrast
, there are companies allowing
their staff to Accept comma addition
companies, allowing
dress
freely, or more simply, to wear casual clothes to work
as they believe the quality of their staff's work
is much more important than how they would look.
Dressing smartly, in my opinion, is highly recommended if we work
in a formal working environment, a law firm for example
, where we normally have clients coming to our office for meetings in any weekday, and in such
case, we would want to look professionally
and neatly before our significant guests to gain their trust. But if we Suggestion
professional
work
in a company operating in a more creative environment, advertisement, for instance
, do we need to put on a suit or other formal dress
to work
? Let's think again. I used to work
in an advertising company where creativity, flexibility and comfortableness are encouraged so that the team could produce more creative and unique initiatives or ideas for their clients' products. There the employees could wear casually as long as they do not look ridiculous in what they are wearing as the employers believe that dressing more freely would help their team works more flexibly and comfortably. And it does work
.
In summary, how we should dress
in the office depends totally on where we work
and whether there is any dress
code to which we are subject. Neither dressing smartly nor dressing casually is an absolute choice for us as both dressing styles could help us do our work
more efficiently in different ways.Unauthorized use and/or duplication of this material without express and written permission from this site’s author and/or owner is strictly prohibited.
