Climate change is a phenomenon that affects countries all over the world. Many people strongly believe that it is the responsibility of individuals, rather than corporations and governments, to deal with this problem. To what extent do you agree?

In
this
day and age, climate
change
has had adverse ramifications on nations globally. Several people do have the perception that the onus is on individuals to find a solution to
this
menace
instead
of companies and governments.
Although
individuals to some extent have a role to play in mitigating the effect of climate
change
, I vehemently disagree with the view that individuals have a major part to play in it.
This
essay will discuss why it is the companies and governments that should bear the greatest responsibilities in solving climate
change
. To start with, governments are the sovereign rulers and they are obligated to take drastic measures to protect their citizens against life-threatening issues
such
as global warming. They should strive to have net-zero emissions.
For instance
, the authorities should enact a law that mandates the planting of trees by persons and corporations.
However
,
this
can aid us in becoming a carbon-neutral emissions state, sadly, they are kicking the can down the road when it comes to the life of the planet. I strongly hold the view that the burden rests on them to protect mother earth
instead
of the human being.
Moreover
, asides from the fact that our leaders are grappling with the issue of humidity, they should tackle it face down. They need to do their bits by encouraging their subjects to refrain from the excessive use of non-renewable energy
such
as fuel, gas, coal etc. and shall be using renewable energy like solar, wind and water. A
change
in temperature has become a new phenomenon all over the world. The above paragraphs have shown that it is the duty of the government and companies to remedy
this
problem.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
