Percentage of Australian men and women doing regular physical activity: 2010

The presented bar chart provides information about how physically active the different
age
groups of the Australian population were in 2010. The evaluated population was divided into six fractions at the
age
from 15 to 65 over. It is obvious from the overall trends that the percentages of women doing physical activity regularly exceeded the rates of men in most of the brackets. The bracket consisting of middle-aged and older women experienced the highest percentages, at 53,3 and 53 respectively, followed by the group with mixed contingent, consisting of young adults and the middle-aged women with the value of 52,5 per cent. The upward trend was observed amongst the women‘s groups with increasing
age
, despite marked fell among the elderly woman at the
age
of 65 and over. Compared to the female groups, the highest rate of doing regular physical activity belonged to the youngest male group at the
age
between 15 and 24. The following two

brackets witnessed significant decreases until they bottomed at 39,5 per cent among the young adults(35-44). Beginning at the
