Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing
this
letter in connection with your advertisement regarding unpaid work with local children. I am really excited working about work with juveniles as it will help me to gain experience in the related field and succeed in the near future. I love being around youngsters, as they are innocent, imaginative and lovely. I have been teaching the little ones from
this
town through an NGO called ''educate the youths'' for 10 months. To add on, I'm really patient, and friendly and maintain a great relationship with them. I would like to enquire about the working days along with the documents required for
this
job. It would
also
be of great help if you tell me the number of working hours required. At
last
, I would like to share that I will not able to work until March, as I have already been teaching children through an NGO.
However
, from the 1st of April, I am available from Monday to Friday between 7.00 am to 3.00. P.m. Looking forward to hearing from you Yours faithfully, Akila

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
