Dear Sir I am writing to thank you for your service given at the party organized
last
week by me for my colleagues and company. Actually, it was an annual day of our company which is celebrated with great joy every year. The event went good as all office members enjoyed everything including food, small events, rides for kids and so on. All party people praised the services of the hotel as a guard of honour at the entrance was pleasing.
Moreover
, the number and quality of the food were very high as compared to the previous year. Event management was fine in terms of time and fun and people of all age groups enjoyed a lot every event. Only one thing I would like to tell you which I don't like about the uncleanliness in toilets.
Also
, a problem of bad odour and the slippery floor was there that lead to a small accident because one of lady employee was slipped. So I want to suggest that at least 2 sweepers would be assigned there to clean after each use of that area. The rest was fine and I would like to appreciate you for
this
. Regards Tommy.

Structure your letter

A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:

  • A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
  • The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
  • A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)

When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.

All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
