The charts below show what UK graduate and postgraduate students who did not go into full-time work did after leaving college in 2008. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The charts compare and contrast ,how UK
graduates
and postgraduate students ended up after completing their studies
in 2008 in four different categories namely,part-time work
,voluntary work
,further
studies
and unemployed, except for people who entered full-time work
at the end
of their education.
Looking from an overall
perspective,it is readily apparent that the number of graduates
surpassed the number of postgraduates, engaging in the given four categories. In both groups majority of individuals were involved in further
studies
while
voluntary work
was the least popular among all.
29665 UK alumna enrolled on further
studies
, becoming the largest group among the given groups, whereas
only 3550 did the voluntary jobs, being the least interesting activity.Contrastly, less than nearly 10 fold of postgraduate students took the pathway to further
studies
and voluntary work
(2725 and 345 respectively).
Part-time work
was enjoyed by 17735 graduates
and 2535 postgraduates meanwhile,16235 graduates
and 1625 postgraduate students remained unemployed in the given year.Submitted by g.s.subasinghe on
