The plans below show the layout of a university’s sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparison where relevant.

The maps illustrate the current orientation of a university
sports
centre and its future development.
Overall
,
it is clear that
the outdoor courts will no longer exist
due to
the extension of the
sports
centre with more gymnastics facilities. Regarding the present layout, the entrance is in the south and opposite the reception. In the middle of the area, there is a 25m pool with a changing room to the west, a seating area to the east, and a gym behind it. The centre is surrounded by outdoor courts located on both the left and right sides. Turning to the future plans, the current facilities will mostly remain unchanged, apart from the expansion of the gym towards the east. In the western part, the biggest change will be the construction of the leisure pool and there will
also
be a changing room and a
sports
shop in the bottom corner. In the opposite direction, a
sports
hall and 2 dance studios will be built and separated by a corridor. There will be another changing room and a café in the southeast corner.
