The management of your company is considering hiring new talent through new means. The management is contemplating two options and has sent out an opinion survey to know from its employees the method of recruitment that should be preferred. Option A: External recruitment: Larger pool of applicants who are more specialized and provide a fresh outlook Option B: Employee referrals: Quicker and less expensive way to hire while boosting morale of existing employees

I personally feel that hiring new employees through an external approach is the most suitable choice for our company. Though the other option is almost equally appealing, I would like to elucidate a couple of reasons to justify my choice.

To begin

with, we will be having more applicants to filter out the talented resource as per our company requirements through an external recruitment approach.

Moreover

, we can hire specialized people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences which can lead to a fresh environment on the floor Though the employee referral is quicker and less expensive, we may end up hiring from a limited pool of resources.

However

, hiring employees from outer sources will consume more time, but management can grab the needful tech-person without much advertisement costs in the current generation with the help of social medial platforms like LinkedIn. Considering all the above points, I am of the opinion that external recruitment would be a more beneficial option than employee referrals.
