The given line graph shows changes in average juvenile
crime
, extracted from a report in 1995-1998.
Overall
,
it is clear that
suburban and rural locations illustrate sharper increases in under-18
crime
proportion during the middle of the 90s.
While
the rate of infractions in Rural areas and Urban centres showed a moderate drop over the period, there are seemingly more dramatic changes in Suburban. As is represented, in Urban areas, there was a slight rise in the quantity of juvenile
crime
between 1995 and 1996, from about 0,5% to approximately 2%, the highest point during the period. After showing an upward trend, the percentage of
crime
under 18 in downtown locations declined from 1996 onwards, reaching its lowest position at -5% in 1998. There was a similar competency in Rural zones. The proportion of criminal adolescents in
this
area increased slightly in the first one-year period, from 3% in 1995 to nearly 4% in 1996. From 1996 to forward years, a downward trend appeared to clarify the rise in
crime
amounts, reaching its lowest point at over -2% in 1998. Noticeably, in Suburban territories, sharp changes are clearly shown. After rocketing to a peak at 8% of burglaries taken by youngsters in 1996,
this
average ratio substantially dropped to -2% over a year,
then
had a strong rise to 0% in 1998.
