You recently travelled to New York and you were completely dissatisfied with the hotel service you stayed at. Write a letter to the hotel manager, in your letter: • introduce yourself • mention the problems you had at the hotel during your stay • say what action you need the hotel manager to take
Dear Sir or Madam
I am a tourist from Uzbekistan and recently I have booked an apartment from your hotel. I think it is one of the best hotels in New York City. I heard about
this
hotel from my friends. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction about your hotel service.
Firstly
cleaners are cleaning rooms not well windows are dust and beds are not cleaning on time. When I asked parties to cleaners to clean my apartment they treated me badly.
Secondly
, I asked to deliver my edibles to my apartment and the waiters made a mistake in delivering lunch
and not on time I accepted my lunch
and my lunch
was already cool. Unfortunately, I can't eat a cool lunch
.
I would be grateful if you solve the problems. Mistakes of waiters about lunch
.
Secondly
cleaning rooms on time and being with customers gently.
I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem.
Yours sincerely,

Structure your letter
A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:
- A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
- The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
- A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)
When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.
All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
