preferred playing computer games and ball games, whereas

liked spending their leisure time on dancing and reading.

showed the highest enthusiasm for computer games which accounted for around one-third of the total, doubling that of the girls

enjoyed playing basketball, followed by soccer at 17%. Only 11% of the male interviewees were interested in skateboarding.
In contrast
, girls
showed different preferences for cultural and leisure activities. Most of them were fond of dancing (27%). Reading is the second most favoured activity for girls
(21%) but the least appealing to boys

who participated in netball and gymnastics only made up a small minority, at 15% and 11% respectively. Furthermore
