People have different views on whether history should be taught at school. While other subjects may teach skills which are particularly relevant to children's lives, I would argue that history still teaches children useful knowledge and should therefore be taught in all schools.
People maintain that individuals can do nothing to improve the environment; only governments and large companies can make a difference. I strongly believe that this viewpoint is misguided and that individuals have a significant role to play in environmental preservation.
