You recently read in an advert that a local restaurant was offering a part-time job. Write a letter to the restaurant’s manager. In your letter: explain that you would like to apply for the job give some details of any relevant experience that you have specify the days and times that would suit you.
Dear Sir / Madam,
I am writing to apply for the position which was advertised in the local newspaper on the 12th of May.
I have been studying Computer Science at London College.
This
year is my second year of school. I would like to work part-time to cover my expenses.
I worked for nine months as a waitress in the John's Garden restaurant which is close to my dormitory last
year. I have also
worked in the kitchen and supported the cleaning work there. I believe that this
position is matching my experiences. I am a hard worker and good at communicating with customers. I have a high level of discipline. I firmly believe that I can easily adapt to your restaurant and create high energy.
I would like to work on Wednesdays and Fridays as a full day that suits my school schedule. I am ready to discuss how my experiences suit this
position at your earliest convenience. You may find my resume attached.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours Faithfully,
