You would like to buy some electrical goods at a shop in a nearby town. Write a letter to the shop and ask if they have the things you want or whether they will be able to order them. Ask what the prices are and how long they will be able to hold the goods for you. You should write at least 150 words.

away from Mississauga, where your shop is located. I am writing to enquire about a couple of electronic items that I want to purchase from your store. Let me provide you with more information about the products I need.
First,
I am looking for a portable fan, which can be enough to cool down the medium-sized bedroom, and it should have a remote control as well.
Secondly
, I want a microwave, but I need it either from Sony or Philips brand as I have heard several positive feedbacks about it. Could you please let me know about the availability of these devices, in case you do not have them, could you please order them for me? It would be absolutely helpful for me if you could provide me with the price range of different options for these two gadgets. I have searched online about them;
however
, I assume that the prices are much higher on online platforms nowadays.
In addition
to
this
, I am in favor of local shop owners so I always try to buy things physically
instead
of virtually to contribute to the local market. I would be grateful if you could hold these items until next weekend or if it is not possible
then
let me know about the maximum number of days you can reserve for me. I am visiting the market
this
Saturday, and at that time I can collect them from you. I look forward to your prompt response. Yours faithfully, Sohel Khan

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
