The line graph visually represents the transformations of the
number
of foreign visitors in Europe for particular regions, which are the coast, lakes, and mountains. The data is reported in thousands scale. Overall
, it is clear that
the total number
of tourists who came generally increased.
The number
of mountain destinations had doubled in comparison to the initial number
in 1987 which was around 37. Although
it moderately decreased in 1992 to 30, it constantly grew for every period, until it reached a peak at 75 in 2002 and remained the same in 2007. Similar to the former, the lakes also
ended up more than two-fold in 2007 compared with the beginning which was 20. It also
gained its top in 2002 which was about 60.
Next,
the coast has the lowest value among destination options. It started at the lowest figure which was nearly 10, after that, in every period the figures moderately increased. In 2007, the number
