The chart below show the percentage of the day working adults spent doing different activities in a particular country in 1958 and in 2008.
These two pictures express the
percentage
of days doing different activities in the given years in a given country.
33% of people spent working in 1958 and it and the percentage
of sleeping had a small gap of 1%. Yet, the figure
for sleeping was 16 times higher than the percentage
of travelling to work. Only 8% of people were relaxing at home and it was two times lower than going out.
In 2008, working accounted for 42% and the figure
was five times higher than travelling to work. Interestingly, Doing other and going out were the same percentage
. 13% of people were relaxing at home. It and the figure
for sleeping had a big gap of 12%. The figure
for sleeping accounted for 25%.
In brief, the figure
for working was the highest in 1958 and 2008. By contrast
, travelling to work was the lowest percentage
in 1958 and going out and doing other was the lowest figure
