The chart below shows information from a 2008 report about the consumption of energy in the USA since 1980 with predictions until 2030. Given information about Petrol and Oil, I can say that since 1980 and until 2005 statistics fluctuated wildly but projections straight to 2030 are stable and climbed sharply. Coal and Natural Gas rose gradually and
also
rarely experienced a decrease in their consumption. Since 2015 Coal has risen steeply
however
leveling was experienced by Natural Gas. Looking at the consumption of the other three categories Nuclear, Solar, and Hydropower, I can conclude that they have been pretty stable through the years. Nuclear and Solar increased slowly, but a steady fall was experienced by Hydropower after 2005.
To sum up
, Petrol and Oil have the biggest value of all of these fuels. Nuclear, Solar, and Hydropower are used rarely, and in comparison to them Coal and Natural Gas are utilized by the USA more frequently
