The figure below depicts the trend regarding the

 in the first half of the 21st century. An increase in

 was noticed in both
China
 and
India
 in the past 20 years. Starting with 1.25

 in 2000,

 was more populous compared to
India
. Meanwhile, there were only a

. A moderate upsurge was

 shown, reaching a current level of 1.4
