The line graph below describes the production of different fuels in the UK from 1981-2000.
The line graph illustrates the changes in different fuels ( petroleum, natural gas, and coal)
production
in the UK over 19 years from 1981 to 2000.
Overall
, it is obvious that coal and petroleum production
decreased gradually during the given period. However
, the figures for natural gas production
fluctuated throughout.
The most noticeable changes can be seen in the production
of coal when it dropped sharply from approximately 120 million
tonnes
in 1983 to a little bit more than 40 million
tonnes
in 1984 before climbing again to above 100 million
tonnes
in 1986. These later figures start dropping simultaneously in 1987 from around 100 million
tonnes
to hit the lowest point at under 40 million
in the last
year. likewise
, petroleum production
declined from around 100 million
in the first year to approximately 80 million
tonnes
at the end
.
the least noticeable change can be noticed in natural gas production
which fluctuated from roughly 70 million
to a little bit less than that in the last
year.Submitted by s_syedy on
