South Korea participated with the lowest percentage. At the end
of the period, the USA and Australia made up the highest number of women
who continued to higher school , whilst South Korea became the least segment.
In 1980, Australia accounted for more than half of the total women
in higher education
and remained stable in 2015. The figures for the USA and the UK showed a similar trend that started above one-third in 1980 and increased significantly to 55% and 59%, respectively.
