graph was taken from a report which was published in 2008.
Overall
,
It is clear that
the most used fuels are non-renewable sources rather than renewable sources throughout the period. During the year 1980, Petrol and oil were used around 35 quadrillion units which started to fall and rise in the coming years. It was between 1995 and 2000 when it started to rise back again and is projected to touch a little below 50 quadrillion units by 2030. Similar is the case for coal. It is the natural gas which started to stabilize its usage between 2010 and 2015
On the other hand
, renewable sources of energy like nuclear, solar and hydropower stayed between 2 to 8 quadrillion units in the same period showing no rapid signs of increase or decrease.
