The line chart illustrates the proportion of unemployed people in the United Kingdom, Japan and the European countries between 1993 and 2007.
Overall
, Japan has the lowest unemployment rates over the entire period.
While
the rate of unemployment problem in both Europe and the UK was the highest by 1993. The United Kingdom’s percentage of unemployed was the highest among all countries at nearly 11% in the first year, the rate started to decline dramatically to reach 3.5 per cent by 2001. British people unemployed rose again slightly to 6% in 2007, before remaining relatively stable between 2002 and 2005 at nearly 5.5%. The proportion of people in Europe continues did not have jobs, increased slightly in the first three years of the period only around 4%, and the rate began to rise again before it dropped significantly from 11.4% to under 8% in 2007. Japan’s unemployed ratio had the lowest percentage in 1993 at only 2%, and
this
remained consistent at only 3% from 1995 to 1999. In the 20s unemployment increased gradually until reached approximately 6%. the ratio of unemployed declined sharply to nearly 4% in 2007.
