Overall
, the British
people
spent most of their money on
food

drinks
regardless of
age
except youth, tend to spend on
restaurants
and
hotels
in the given period. Noticeably, as the
age
increased, consumption of
food
and
drinks
exhibited a consistent growth
whereas
restaurants
and
hotels
accounted for the reverse trend.
According to
the graph, the young
people
of the UK spent more on
restaurants
and
hotels
which was slightly less than 15 %, and for
food
and
drinks
, and entertainment , total spending ranged between 5-10 percentage.
Furthermore
, entertainment reached a peak of around 23 % in the

group of senior citizens , before falling to less than 15 % in

older than 75

in 2004.

, the total spending on
restaurants

decreased to 2 % in the late middle-aged category and after 75
