The chart shows the amount of physical exercise in men and women in Australia that has been done regularly from
ages
around 15 years old to over 65 years old in 2010, which are categorized into 6 age groups.
Overall
, the pattern of the men category fluctuated in different groups,
whereas
the female pattern experienced a subtle increase. Females aged 15 to 24 years old had a percentage of 47,7%, which only had a slight difference with
ages
of 65 and over, which was 47,1% and placed as the smallest percentage in the women category. Whilst, the
ages
45 to 54 was the peak of the proportion at 53,3 %, which was closely followed by
ages
55 to 64, resulting in a 0,3 % difference only.
In contrast
, the participation of male physical activity was generally lower than females. It only had 52,8% as the highest percentage in
ages
15 to 24,
while
the average of other groups was noticeably below the women's percentages. Even though, males aged 65 and over was 46,7%, nearly hit the females' proportion in the same age bracket.
