task response
Say a little more about why you want to help children. You could also ask about the age of the children and the kind of help needed.
task response
Use a more formal ending, such as “Yours faithfully”, when you begin with “Dear Sir or Madam”.
coherence and cohesion
Your letter has a clear order: interest, questions, and free time. Make the second part flow better by using full questions instead of “Such as”.
coherence and cohesion
Keep each sentence clear and use correct capital letters, for example “I have to meet” and “I look forward to your prompt response”.
task response
You cover all the main points: your interest, the work details you need, and the days and times you are free.
coherence and cohesion
Your paragraphs are easy to follow, and the list of your free times is clear.
Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
