In some nations, parents have a tendency to put pressure on their children, which force them to spend excessive hours on studying and to ignore leisure activities. This essay argues that this trend exerts detrimental effects on students, as well as the whole society. This essay will firstly discuss how extended hours of studying during and after school would reduce students’ productivity, and secondly, discuss how this trend has negative impact on children’s mental health.

Some people think that it is a waste of money for countries to host big sporting events like the world cup, and that the money would be better spent on other things. However, others think that hosting large sporting events has a clear, positive impact on a country.

There is fierce competition between nations to host major international sports events like the World Cup or Olympics as it is a unique opportunity to boost the national reputation of the host nation. In spite of its undeniable benefits, I believe that the costs are too great and therefore governments should prioritise other key issues to better benefit their citizens.

People have contrary arguments about which type of climate is more convenient for enjoying life. While a group of people prefers to live in the cold temperature, I agree with the other group who accepts that climate with a high temperature degree is the most enjoyable climate.

Some people think that using gene technology for food production can help feed a growing number of people in the modern world. While I believe that genetically engineered food is not without risks, I agree that it is a feasible way to provide enough food for the increasing world population.
