Governments should not provide care or financial support for elderly people because it is the responsibility of each person to prepare for retirement and support him or herself.

In the era of technological advancement and globalization, it is not a challenge for anyone to gain the recognition of supporting elderly people. People have different views in an opinion that administrators should not support finance for or take care of the elderly and retired people because preparing for retirement is the responsibility for themselves. From my perspective, I totally disagree that elderly people should not receive any support from the state, but people should save money for their retirement. In this following essay, we will take this discussion into consideration.

A question which many of us have to ask ourselves is whether the quality of products is really worthwhile for the amount of valuable money from our pocket. Nowadays, thanks to the innovation of science and technology, tasks that humans used to do were replaced by computers and robots. While this event reduced the labour costs that business owners have to pay, consequently, it also causes laborers to lose their job and reduces the number of jobs. Hence, it is more and more difficult for the youth to find jobs because everything is becoming more sophisticated, challenging, and demands humans to abandon the dated manual laboring jobs and move to knowledge working jobs.

In Britain, when someone gets old they often go to live in a home with other old people where there are nurses to look after them. Sometimes the government has to pay for this care. Old people who used to live in Britain often sent to a home for the aged where there are medical staffs like nurses who provide proper care for them. There is still no agreement between the government and families of aging patients whether who should pay for the expenses for this kind of care. It is being argued that governments exhaust their funding on researching the space, yet it has become ineffective.
