Some people think it is more important to spend public money on promoting a healthy lifestyle in order to prevent illness than to spend it on the treatment for people who are already ill. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is believed by some that the government should allocate more resources into encouraging people to adopt a healthy lifestyle than into treatment for people with illnesses. In my opinion, although I think that raising health awareness in public would bring great benefits, I disagree that it is more important than finding treatment for those in need.

In the recent times, the trend of having own work instead of working under an organisation has been widespread. There are many factors behind this overwhelming tendency and some merits are also associated with the same approach which will be explicated in the upcoming paragraphs.

In the contemporary society, children have numerous ways to gain information and entertain such as books, tv or computer games. There is a school of thought that for children, it is better to read stories from books rather than watching tv or playing computer games. In my opinion, I totally agree with this view.

The opinions of scientists go apart when it comes to the topic of other life forms. Some say there exist other life forms and that they should be contacted, while others would not do that because it could be dangerous. There are without a doubt pros and cons regarding this topic, but in my opinion, it would not be a good idea to contact them, because I would find it better to gain some knowledge about the other life forms before you contact them.

In past three decades more citizens of big towns became owners of the cars. Whilst the scale of the problem is a subject for debates, the outcomes are seen in traffic congestion throughout the whole cities. However, I would like to express my opinion about the problem and ways to overcome it by state services.

It has been observed that the vast majority of college students have to opt part time jobs to support their miscellaneous tuition fees while finishing their degree. In my opinion, this is clearly a negative trend as students waste a lot of time doing unskilled jobs, which otherwise could be utilised in learning essential skills in the school.

There is split opinion regarding Railway and new roads. Some people believe that governments should spend money on Railways. While another group of thinkers support investment into new roads. For so long, humans have been taking the possibility of an amazing society into consideration. Nevertheless, in fact, individuals have not had the general standard for this term. My own view is that safety is the indispensable factor contributing to a great society, along with numerous measures.

Although there are some drawbacks of internet-based learning, I would argue that there are far more benefits. In my opinion, while there are clear positive aspects of this trend, there are also negative aspects of having less face-to-face contact with other people.

Eating only healthy food is really important for good health. In this regard, some people argue that government should levy a tariff on junk food because the number of health risks associated with consuming this kind of food is on the rise. This essay agrees up to a large extent that a higher rate of tax should paid by fast food companies.
