Last week you were on a flight to London. Unfortunately, when you got off the plane, you left a bag there. You did not remember about the bag until you got to your hotel. Write a letter to the airline. In your letter explain what has happened describe the bag and its contents say what you would like them to do about this problem You should write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses. Begin your letter as follows: Dear Sir or Madam,

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to inform you that I have lost my handbag on one of your flights.
Last
Thursday at 7.45 pm, the incident occurred while I was coming from New York City to London on a flight numbered PA755 seated at B27. I had been working relentlessly that day in New York, and thereby, I was so tired.
Hence
when the flight had arrived at London airport, I came out from the flight by leaving my backpack unattended. I did not recognise it until I had reached my home. My briefcase contains a wallet, a set of books and an umbrella. It is black and has a "Batman" sticker on the bottom. Since I have purchased it recently, it looks like a new one. As my wallet contains a few vital ID cards, please consider the request favourably and help me find my backpack as soon as possible. Should you find the bag, please call me at 7844412345 or email me at [email protected] so that I can come and collect it from the lost property office. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully, Sooraj Nair

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
