The bar chart illustrates the total of students by gender men and women who attended six subjects in the art sector, namely Linguistics, Philosophy, English language and literature, History and Archeology, Art and Design and Communication and Media Stud at the UK university in the year 2011.
Overall
, women showed a higher interest in five of six subjects,
while
men are more involved in studying Art and Design. English language and literature subject were the most chosen by both male and females and History and Archeology subject was the least studied by both genders. English language and literature subjects were the most popular among the students, with 250 females and over 200 males studying in 2011,
moreover
Communication and Media Stud in the second position with over 200 women and only 200 men. On the other ,hand the Linguistics major was more popular for females almost 240
whereas
only 180 males attended. History and Archeology were less preferable among both genders more than 100 girls and less than 100 boys enrolled
however
Philosophy was studied only by 50 males and it is the subject with the lower number of students.
