The line graph below shows the production of paper, wood pulp and sawn-wood in the UK from 1980 to 2000.
The graphs provide information on how much in million
tonnes
of
paper
and packaging,
wood
pulp
, and sawn
wood
were produced in the period of 1980 to 2000 in the UK. As shown in the chart, the
production
of
paper
and packaging leads to the total
production
of the forest industry
while
the rest did not have much fluctuation. In 1980, a total amount of 230-ton
paper
and packaging was manufactured. As it leads the forest industry,
wood
pulp
and sawn
wood
produced 200 and 150, respectively. Ten years later,
paper
and packaging quantity slightly increased by 20 tons
while
the rest accumulated the same amount of 150
tonnes
. The
production
number of
paper
and packaging kept rising and reached its peak in 2000 at 350
tonnes
. That left a huge difference in
wood
pulp
and sawn-
wood
production
numbers with almost 200
tonnes
differences.
Although
the
production
of sawn
wood
kept falling, it did not have much contrast to the
wood
pulp
industry.
