(SOFIA) You have a problem with a recently hired employee in your workplace. Write a letter to the HR manager. In your letter – Describe the problem the new employee has caused – Explain how other colleagues feel about the new employee’s conduct – Say how you expect the manager to address the situation.
Dear Sir/Madam
My name is Keyhan and I am writing to inform you about an unwelcomed situation in my workplace.
As we all know, the main important factor to provide productivity in the workplace is being able to concentrate on the job which can only be possible in a quiet place.
Unfortunately, the company hired a new employee named Kayl who makes loud noise during the day consisting of talking loudly on his personal cellphone with friends and family or singing to himself all along the day.
I suppose, my performance has been descending since he stepped in.
Therefore
, I would like you to talk to him in order to respect the other staff next to him.
I do not complain regularly but this
time I consider this
matter as an issue for us in the future which may bring about some conflicts throughout the company.
Thank you for your time, and I will be available if further
information is needed.
Sincerely yours

Task Achievement
To improve Task Achievement, ensure that you expand on each point you make. For instance, you could provide specific examples of how the new employee's behavior is affecting the entire team or suggest potential solutions.
Coherence and Cohesion
To enhance Coherence and Cohesion, try to connect your ideas more smoothly. You can use linking words and phrases more effectively to guide the reader through your arguments. This will make your letter easier to follow and more cohesive.
Structure your letter
A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:
- A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
- The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
- A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)
When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.
All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
