n some countries, secondary school aims to provide a general education across a range of subjects. In others, children focus on a narrow range of subjects related to a particular career. Which do you think is appropriate in today’s world?

People have different opinions about whether secondary school students should learn different subjects in general or focus only on a few core subjects. In my opinion, it is more beneficial for them to learn a variety of subjects at this age.

More and more are moving away from an agricultural background to relocate to cities in order to look for work? What will be consequences of this? What solutions can you offer?

In recent years, many rural people have been migrating into urban areas as they don't want to continue to work in agriculture jobs. Destruction of agriculture industry can not be unavoidable,if this situation continued to grow; therefore the government has to implement some rules and regulations to manage this situation under control.

In spite of the advances made in agriculture, many people around the world still go hungry. Why is this the case? What can be done about this problem? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.

Recent years have witnessed tremendous developments in agricultural science yet every day people all over the world continue to suffer and even die from hunger. In my opinion, this is because innovations rarely impact the developing world and the best solution for it is to direct humanitarian funding towards these advances.

Many newspapers and magazines feature stories about the private lives of famous people. We know what they eat, where they buy their clothes and who they love. We also often see pictures of them in private situations. Is it appropriate for a magazine or newspaper to give this kind of private information about people?

Even though stories about the personal lives of celebrities are featured in magazines and newspapers every day, I don't believe it is appropriate to share private information about these people. Not only does sharing of this information by media endanger the safety of famous people, but this also results in media intruding their personal life.

These days, we are seeing an increasing amount of violence on television, and this is having a negative impact on children's behaviour. Do you agree or disagree?

There is an increasing amount of violence broadcasted on television nowadays which is having a negative effect on children's attitude. As children are very good learners they adapt what they see immediately, hence when they watch destruction and violence on the screens they learn from it which reflects in their behaviour. Therefore, I completely agree with this statement that watching violence on TV has a bad impact on children's behaviour.

In today’s world of modern technology, the method of preparing the food has changed and I think this also has an impact on the living style of people in a positive way.

It is generally believed that people are born with certain talents, for instance for sports or music, and others are not. However, it is sometimes claimed that any child can be taught to become a good sports person or musician. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

How can be talented? Some argue that this is those who are born with talent; however, opponents of this opinion point out that those who are trained to become skillfull.In my opinion, I strongly believe that even though one is skillfull, without a proper training he cannot be successful.

Sports and exercise helps to keep a person physically fit and mentally strong. Physical education is recommended and should be made compulsory for children and teenagers. This essay will discuss the benefits of exercising and the problems it overcomes.

In order for many young people to contribute to our society, it is worthwhile to make university/college students do colunteer work in order to give credits which are necessary for their degrees. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Schools today more and more encourage their students to work voluntary in their community to know the society they belong to. However, I do not disagree that universities make their students to do volunteer works to give them credits to obtain their degree.

Some people think that prison sentences should not be used in dealing with criminals. Education and job training should be used instead. To what extent do you agree on disagree?

Crime is a perceived as a threat to the development of any country and its citizens. As long as a prison punishment is prevalent, people will feel safe and secured. It is disagreed that education and job training should be used instead of it. Analysing the seriousness of a trail which is indirectly proportional to its repetition in the future & fear of conducting a crime will prove this.

In today's global society, increasing trend of immigration has a major impact on the community. Many people are migrating from developing to developed country because of the better health, life prospect and employment opportunity. The various impacts of this are elaborated further.

In modern society, animal exploitation has received a great deal of media attention. Many arguments have been made for and against this issue. In this essay, I will discuss both views and state my own position.

Cutting down the trees of the rain forests is a matter of serious concern which may cause the disappearance of humans and animals. I strongly agree that the lives of both of them are at stake due to deforestation in terms of global warming and air pollution.

Most people are developing health issues as an outcome of little or no physical activities during weekdays or in their leisure time. The primary cause of this phenomenon is the sedentary and busy lifestyle, and the most viable solution is to educate and create awareness people about the health-related problems due to inadequate physical exercises in daily routine.

Employers should focus on personal qualities over qualifications and experience when choosing someone for a job. To what extent do you agree with this?

It is often considered by many that while recruiting an employees, the company should consider personal qualities such as person who have good team work ideas and excellent communication skills which are useful to raise the productivity of the company, instead of focusing on degree certificates and years of experience. i completely agree with the statement.

The main purpose of public libraries is to provide books, and they should not waste their limited resources and space on providing expensive hi-tech media such as computer software, videos and DVDs. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Tradition a library is a place that shelves many books a reader can read or borrow. However, technological advancement and its tremendous effects on the way we learn new things and share information have redefined the concept of a library in recent days. Thus, digital contents and technological facilities are widely used in public libraries all around the world and I quite disagree with the notion that these amenities are a waste of resource or space for a library.
